At Gask House Holidays, we believe that no holiday is complete without your four-legged companions. That’s why we love to welcome well-behaved dogs, and do our utmost to ensue that they have just as wonderful a stay as you do.

We can accept a maximum of 2 dogs in each of Clava and Corrimony Cottages.
Just click the "Add Pet" option when you book and for a small fee your pet can enjoy your holiday with you (Please familiarise youself with the house rules further down this secion before booking).

Our dedicated dog-friendly spaces are designed with your pets in mind, offering them the comfort and amenities they deserve.

Take advantage of our spacious doggy exercise paddock, where your furry friends can run freely, romp around, and enjoy the fresh country air. Take a brisk morning walk on one of the many dog-friendly local walks.

We aim to provide all the small basics to help you manage your dogs during their stay. This includes an outside hose, plenty of dog towels and throws for the sofa. We can also provide a dog crate, upon request.

Join us at Gask House Holidays, where every member of the family, including your beloved dogs, is guaranteed a memorable getaway!

Doggy Facilities

The basics are provided to make sure your dog is comfortable
  • Access to a large, fenced doggy exercise paddock, just yards from your front door.  However, if your dog is an expert escapologist, we cannot guarantee it won't find a way out!

  • Access to the wider Gask House grounds, including our very own nature trail.

  • Dog towels provided.

  • Access to an external hose for washing the muck off (sorry - only cold water!).

  • Dog throws for the Sofa are provided.

  • We can provide a dog crate upon request (but please provide your own bedding).

  • Spare leads, collars, bowls, balls etc , in case an essential is left behind.

  • We can recommend a local dog walker (see below).

Gask House guidelines

We have some sensible (we hope) guidelines to ensure the safety of your own dog, the safety and enjoyment of others on-site, and to respect the property, grounds and other animals.
  • Please do not leave your dog unaccompanied in the cottage.  Your dog may be happy being left alone in its own home, but in unfamiliar surroundings dogs can become over stressed. This can lead to unexpected, destructive behaviour.

If your dog is relaxed in a crate we can provide you with one for the duration of your stay.

We can also recommend a local dog minder who will be delighted to look after your pet, if you plan to be out for extended periods.

  • Please be aware this is a working farm and there may be sheep, hens, cats and other animals on-site or in adjacent fields.

We'd be grateful if you could have your dog under control at all times in the common areas around the Cottages.

  • Please clean up after your dog anywhere on our land and use the dog waste bin provided.

  • Whilst we prefer that dogs are not allowed on the beds, if your dog is used to sleeping on your bed please bring your own superking duvet cover with you for this purpose.

  • You are welcome to use the throws provided for the sofas to keep the amount of dog hair and dander to a minimum.

  • We want your dogs to have a great holiday too, and we understand that great holidays for dogs can include getting wet, muddy and sandy!  We provide dog washing facilities and towels so that you can help us keep our cottages beautiful.

  • We normally only accept dogs over 9 months old. If you have a puppy or young immature dog prone to chewing the furniture, please check with us first.

  • Any damages or soiling caused by your dog during your stay will be your responsibility, and you accept to cover the cost of any repairs or excess cleaning.

Doggy Activities

A wealth of local walks and fun things to do

There are lots of local walks available, many suitable for dogs of all ages and all sizes. Have a look at our local walks page, and the associated "dog" rating.

Please familiarise yourself and observe the SOAC (Scottish Outdoor Access code).

Dog Walking Service

We are happy to recommend a local dog walker and pet care provider, Meiggidh Fraser of Bonnie Barks. Meiggidh will be happy to look after your dog, allowing you a bit of freedom to explore further afield or perhaps go out for dinner one evening.

Bonnie Barks can be busy during holiday periods, so please plan well in advance.

Please read our house rules about not leaving dogs alone in the cottage.

Please contact Meiggidh directly via WhatsApp message
