COVID Response

Your Safety

We are committed to ensuring that your holiday with us is as safe and as stress-free as possible. With this in mind we are constantly reviewing the official Scottish Government guidelines on Covid-19 which were updated on 1 February 2022, thereby allowing us to open safely on 1 April 2022.  These guidelines are designed to protect you as our guests, our staff and, of course, ourselves.

We have taken steps to better understand COVID-19 and its transmission methods and undertook a training course that helped us to interpret the guidelines and apply them to our specific situation.

What changes have we have made ?

  • We continue to practise safe social distancing at all times.
  • We provide a pre-arrival/departure information pack for guests, explaining procedures.
  • We continue to implement a "disinfect" phase into all our cleaning protocols, using an approved viricidal product. A signed checklist is available in the guest handbook within each cottage so that you can be confident of the level of clean that has been completed prior to your entry.
  • We will continue to provide a selection of books, maps etc., and will continue to quarantine anything that has been used by a departing guest for a minimum of 72 hours.
  • We ensure guests are not present during changeover cleans.
  • We will, where possible, schedule any maintenance visits when guests are out of the property (unless an emergency).
  • We provide a comprehensive FAQ document on all aspects of the property to help reduce the need for direct interaction.
  • We provide single packaged supplies of coffee, tea and sugar.
  • We provide useful contact numbers in the guest handbook within each property, in the event of any illness.

In order to have enough time to perform the extra cleaning protocols we are asking our guests to arrive no earlier than 16:00 on changeover day.
